  • Kuruva island : Kuruva Island is situated on the tributaries of the river Kabani.It is situated veryKuruva Island far from the city life which makes the tourist to relax and the enjoy the nature’s beauty.The relatively 900 acres of tropical forest is now a famous tourist spot. It is home for many rare species of birds, orchids and herbs.Sometimes we can also see tribal people who roam nearby.
  • Meenmutty waterfalls :This is one of the most impressive waterfall that can be found in wayanad district. The Meenmutty Fallsmain feature is water falls over more than 300 meters in 3 steps.Trekking is a good option to explore its surroundings ,keeping a guide along is advisable.This is also one of the attractive tourist spot.
  • Edakkal Caves: Edakkal cave is 25 km from Kalpetta and just 3 km from Ambalavayal.It is the cave on Edakkal CaveAmbikutty Hills of  prehistoric age and with famous rock carvings on the inner cave walls.It is about 1000 meter above sea level.There is an  interesting tourists attraction which is a telescope installed by the DTPC a few feet from the caves that offer a panoramic view of the surrounding country.
